Vénissieux site is located in Lyon’s suburb. Thus, it takes benefit of a developed communication networks (fluvial, road, air) as Lyon is the 2nd town of France on an economic and cultural point of view. The historical area of Lyon is part of the UNESCO world heritage. Lyon city aims at having an influence in the world.
Vénissieux gathers a production site, the Sales Department and the R&D Department together. This nearness promotes the collaboration between the three departments; the Sales Department provides services to customers from all over the world, supported by the expertise of the R&D Department and this is close to the plant.

Notre Dame de Briançon site had been chosen for its geographical position in the valley, in order to take advantage, as many industry of this type, of the hydraulic power. Closed to well known ski resorts, where the Olympics games of 1992 took place and where the world ski competition of 2009 takes place, Carbone Savoie is engaged in a self conscious environmental policy.
Lannemezan plant, the third production site of Carbone Savoie, in the southwest of France, is nestled in the Pyrenean mountains. This unit, a former Pechiney aluminium plant, has successfully switched to the production of cathodic products at the end of 2008. Lannemezan people have been trained to Carbone Savoie products and know-how in Notre Dame de Briançon by Carbone Savoie staff.
