Success story
Our firm brand name Carbone Savoie comes from the French area Savoie where our first manufacturing plant has been installed. That’s why our logo features the Savoie area flag whereas the chamois, protected specie of our French mountains has been chosen to be our emblema.

1985 Semi-graphitic : HC3

1997 Grade K : First graphite grade
1997 UCAR takes over 70% of Carbone Savoie
2002 Eco-Friendly ramming paste

2006 UCAR/GTI sells its 70% of Carbone Savoie to Alcan Group
